Working with Lavender

This last week I was incredibly fortunate to be able to work with the most amazing lavender farm based in Cornwall. Tina Bessell set up Cornish Lavender after buying a house in Perranporth with some adjoining land - and seeing the potential of what she could grow.

Tina has never been one for sitting still - with a career that saw her grow as an Intelligence Officer in the Royal Air Force, taking a Masters in Multimedia Broadcast Journalism and becoming a Breakfast Radio presenter - Tina now does everything to keep the lavender farm running smoothly.

Did I mention, she does all the baking, organises all the events and classes, serves in the tea room and looks after a husband, two children, three dogs and multiple volunteers and visitors to her home? Not to forget the animals on the farm including sheep, chickens and most recently some ducklings. She truly is wonder woman.

However, Tina felt she was lacking somewhat in her social media knowledge, and this is where Roseleigh Media came in. I went to stay with Tina for three days, where we gathered content in both video and picture form, we discussed social media strategy and where she wanted to focus her efforts, and discussed a new platform for her - TikTok.

I left thoroughly nourished having worked in the lavender field and eating the best lavender cream tea I have ever had in my life, and Tina has been able to put her new skills and thoughts to raising her profile on social media.
