The Social Media Frontline – Free Online Launch Event
Join me for the online launch of The Social Media Frontline.
This short session will introduce a practical approach to managing online negativity and protecting the people on the social media frontline. Get your first look at the upcoming programme and why it matters for individuals, teams, and organisations.
This is for you if:
You manage social media for your business, organisation, or community
You’re a manager, CEO, business owner that hires people to deal with your social media
You or your team have experienced, or want to prevent, online hostility, trolling, or harassment
You want to understand the risks of social media escalation and how to respond strategically
Why I’m doing this:
In 2016, after witnessing a terror attack in Berlin, I did a number of news interviews which led to a barrage of harmful online trolling. Very little support existed for people facing this kind of hostility, and the impact was long lasting. Since then, I’ve seen countless individuals, teams, and organisations experience the same challenges. Yet there are still no real protocols in place to protect people, both practically and mentally. This programme aims to change that.
What you’ll leave with:
A clear understanding of why online negativity can escalate and affect both brands and people
Awareness of strategies to protect yourself and your team
Insights into how to respond to hostile interactions without escalating risk
The opportunity to make a pledge to protect the people on your social media frontline
What we’ll cover:
The gap in support for those managing social media
UK statistics and evidence on online hostility and trolling
Practical ways to reduce reputational risk
How to safeguard your team and yourself from burnout and online harm
Event Details:
Date: Monday 19th January 2026
Time: 1:00 PM – 1:40 PM GMT
Format: Online (link sent after registration)
Make sure you reserve your place for this not to be missed event.
